Why Low Fat Diet?

We have seen in recent years that people with obesity have been increasing at a rapid pace. These people are after various ways available for losing weight. There are different exercises and machines available to lose weight. Best way to reduce weight these days’ is to follow low fat diet plan.

These plans have a fat low diet, in which the amount of fats is reduced to minimal levels. Fats are not reduced to nil because our body needs essential fatty acids for various metabolic functions. The basic aim of this low fat diet is to get rid off cholesterol and other harmful fats like LDL (low density lipid). While, LDL is harmful for our body HDL is useful for the body so we cannot exclude fat from diet.

Body mechanisms are so tuned that they use carbohydrates first as the source of energy and then use fat as source of energy, in this way extra fat is stored in muscles and other tissues until they are used later. It obviously results in overweight and joint pain. Cholesterol is harmful for our heart and chokes our arteries, this result in heart attacks and strokes.

Fat low diet can keep away these potentially life threatening conditions.
